As a private residence, Nyleve’s Haven is an Emergency home of
Divine kindness and Maternal care. The Haven is a Godly response to traumatic life experiences.

As a social entrepreneur, I intend to assist in the full
(SPIRITUAL, EDUCATIONAL, MENTAL, CULTURAL, ECONOMIC, PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL)
Development and Empowerment of the Human Spirit in the West End of Louisville, Ky.

As a public social enterprise Nyleve’s Haven, PBC. intends to harness the power of consciousness, education, entrepreneurship, and technology to help humans to help themselves and servants to serve in the West End of Louisville, Ky.

The Haven’s Intent . . .

— Provide Care

Through the critical care emergency housing option;

— Build Community

To align with other concerned community members to reduce maternal mortality and provide quality child care for an underserved community;

— Empower

Through the Personal Peace Process and other effective community resources to increase Black mental wellness;

— Strengthen

To increase generational wealth in the West End of Louisville;

— Provide Options

To offer creative alternatives that will lead to lower the rate of violence among youth in the West End of Louisville;

— Educate

To reduce the number of families eligible for government assistance in the West End of Louisville, Ky.

WHO I Am

I, Yejide Travis, am a social entrepreneur. I live to help people. I help people to live. Service is my thing.

For more than fifteen years, I was doing something good, positive, and effective to help young people in my community. Bureaucracy stopped me. I NEED to return to a life of community service. To be comfortable, I must help other humans. I am seeking the support of one m1llion humans in the world community to help me to help my local community to be, do, and have better. This will be done by co-creating an innovative and unique community in the West End of Louisville, Kentucky.

Generously and kindly helping others is what gives my life its purpose. I cannot walk away from a call on my life, I tried, so I have created this social enterprise, Nyleve’s Haven, PBC to return to living in service and helping humans.

My Business Advisory Council of Kindness are trusted souls who have my back, helping me get back home and to the full development of my lifestyle choice of community service, a place I call Nyleve’s Haven. You will be an unbiased third-party council that will help me by offering advice – based on experience – regarding marketing, strategic planning, business models and markets, social enterprise management, human resources, and business development. You will serve as a sounding board to challenge assumptions; offer advice on the feasibility of an idea, and tell me honestly whether it needs more research, should have a different focus or market, or should be dropped. You will also provide me with connections to key individuals who can and will help me with the growth of Nyleve’s Haven, PBC and the advancement of the West End of Louisville, Ky.
